SharkFest is an “annual educational conference focused on sharing knowledge, experience and best practices among the Wireshark developer and user communities”. As the team at Stamus Networks is dedicated to helping defenders know more, we are pleased to be part of this year’s SharkFest Conference on 17 September 2021.
I’m excited to partner with Josh Stroschein - Director of Training for OISF, for our presentation “Intrusion analysis and Threat Hunting with Suricata”.
This year we are focusing on the benefits of using open-source and presenting how Suricata and the network protocol data it produces can be used and visualized to perform exhaustive traffic analysis. We will share and explain an actionable and generic approach to highlight and spot malicious executable transfers inside millions of NSM and alert events.
The goal of the presentation is to provide attendees with examples of the main features of Suricata and showcase the concept of hunting.
We hope you have a chance to attend. So if you want to join us, register for the SharkFest Conference on 16-17 September (click here >>). Our presentation starts at 12:30 PDT on 17 September, and will be followed by a live Q&A session.
We are happy to share our knowledge with you and help you know more, respond sooner and mitigate risk.
