This milestone is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and trust that our team and community have placed in our mission to empower the elite enterprise defenders who work tirelessly to secure their organizations from relentless cyber threats.This significant funding round was led by First Analysis, a prestigious venture capital firm based in Chicago, renowned for nurturing emerging B2B technology companies, including a number of cybersecurity startups. We are honored to have the support and confidence of First Analysis as our leading investor.
Joining us on this journey is SmoothBrain, a new investor whose faith in our vision further validates our commitment to delivering innovative solutions. Finally, I am grateful for the continued support and participation of our existing seed stage investors, Elevate Ventures, VisionTech Partners, and a number of individuals without whom we would not have made it to this point.
This infusion of capital marks a defining moment for Stamus Networks and will enable us to fulfill our vision for the company. In addition, it gives us the tools we need to strengthen our position as the global leader in Suricata-based network security solutions for enterprises.
This past 18 months we introduced a bunch of new Suricata-related tools, trained hundreds of Suricata users, and published the industry’s first open source book for security analysts on Sucicata. With this investment, you should expect to see us deliver even more open-source tools and educational materials to the Suricata user community than ever before.
But it is our commercial solution - built on top of a Suricata foundation - that is the big contributor to our customer success. The Stamus Security Platform’s ability to integrate modern machine learning with traditional detection mechanisms from intrusion detection (IDS) and network security monitoring (NSM) systems has set us apart as innovators in the field.
The Stamus Security Platform has garnered praise from elite cyber defenders who require detail, control, and transparency in their security operations and recognition from Gartner for our unique approach. Unlike many legacy systems and heavily-hyped artificial intelligence (AI) products that merely trigger warnings with no explanatory context or evidence, our platform provides comprehensive evidence, empowering rapid response to critical threats.
