Stamus Networks Co-Founders to Demonstrate Suricata Expertise at Security Event

INDIANAPOLIS and PARIS – October 3, 2024 – Stamus Networks, a global provider of high-performance network-based threat detection and response (NDR) systems, today announced that co-founders Éric Leblond (chief technology officer) and Peter Manev (chief strategy officer) will participate in a training session at Hack.lu, where they will explore Suricata, the widely-deployed open-source intrusion detection and network security monitoring engine. Both Leblond and Manev are experts in the field of open-source security development and are actively involved with the Open Information Security Foundation (OISF), the governing body of Suricata.

• Session Title: From Protocol Analysis to Actionable and Algorithmic Signature Detection with Suricata
• Session Description: In this training, Éric Leblond and Peter Manev will provide hands-on learning for different techniques using Suricata protocol analysis data for generating useful and actionable algorithmic and signature detection. Attendees can expect to leave prepared to use algorithmic detection formulas, methods and signatures that can be implemented at home or at work. In addition, they will gain experience finding relevant malware data.
